Salish Kootenai College seeks applicants for a Molecular Biology Laboratory Technician/Manager in the Biological and Chemical Science Department. [Se Busca un tecnico de laboratorio en biologia molecular y/o bioquimica]
This position supports the SKC Molecular Biology Research Laboratory (MBL). Duties will include approximately 50% laboratory preparation for selected chemistry and biology courses and 50% dedicated to the scientific research activities of the MBL.
Qualifications: MS in bioscience-related field, preferably Molecular Biology or Biochemistry. A Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology or Biochemistry with 5 years laboratory work may also be considered. A firm working knowledge of the techniques and instrumentation used in molecular biology research, such as molecular cloning, protein express, enzymatic, and biochemistry. Knowledge of Salish Kootenai Tribes and the Mission and Goals of Salish Kootenai College is preferred. Must have ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and the ability to communicate through written, spoken and visual media.
