Job Description
Responsibilities: Program Planner/Scheduler will interface with Business IPT Leads, Program Management team members and customer representatives to establish standards and procedures for project plans, reporting and control. During the proposal stage, assist in development of the IMP/IMS, especially the program event structure. Needs to understand payment milestones, “major decision points,” spacing of events, identifying events to tie activities. Must appreciate the significance of accomplishments and criteria (achievable, objective, of interest to the customer, contractual commitment, comprehensive, explicit). Develop planning/schedule standards, methods, and criteria that meet the Program Manager’s requirements. Bring about consistent approaches across program schedules from various IPTs utilizing the established policies and procedures. Ensure lower-level schedules are developed hierarchically from the IMP. Ensure activities that may be performed by different IPTs (test, installation, development, etc.) are tied together. Analyze/check schedules (E.g., evaluate average task duration, constraints, adherence to IMS, etc.) Develop program-level critical paths (with MS-Project and with other tools such as ). Analyze schedule probability of success, explain and defend schedules to the customer, work with engineers on key items in the schedule to develop alternatives in order to improve the critical path and probabilities of success(e.g., develop alternate paths, define interim products, increase parallelism).

The ideal candidate will possess
Required Skills:
Must have Bachelor's degree or equivalent and at least 4-8 years of Scheduling experience. In depth knowledge of the Aerospace Industry with regards to Event-Accomplishment-Criteria hierarchy, approved verbs, contractual significance of IMP and of IMS. Experience with developing an IMP/IMS. Solid planning/scheduling skills with ability to multitask and manage plans and schedules for multiple small to large projects in a cross-functional environment. Ability to determine and communicate critical path and perform analysis for large programs. Cost/Schedule integration and EVMS experience. Ability to develop and maintain strong interpersonal working relationships at all levels. Skilled in the use of Microsoft Project and other Microsoft Office tools. Coordination of several teams working on multiple subprojects. US CITIZENSHIP and POSSESS or HAVE THE ABILITY TO OBTAIN AN SSBI SECURITY CLEARANCE.
Desired Skills:
Firm understanding of planning/scheduling principles and techniques and the ability to teach non-schedulers are a plus. Should understand CWBS relation to IMP/IMS, identifiers connecting IMP-IMS-CWBS, etc. Critical Chain project planning & execution Experience in leading multiphase planning and implementation projects is a plus.
