UNIX / Windows System Administrator

Job description: Our direct client is searching for a System Administrator to maintain the ongoing reliability, performance and support of their systems environment.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintain the ongoing reliability, performance and support of the systems environment.

Monitor systems, responds to problems and plans for growth.

Provide technical tools support functions (i.e. Installation, Problem Determination, Trouble Shooting, and Vendor/Customer interface).

Work across all functional areas of the enterprise and use a strong customer services orientation to ensure that all requests and problems are resolved.

Work on small and large projects that have system-wide impact and integrate across the organization.

Provide on-going systems analysis.

Perform additional job duties as required.


REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Senior level technical ability with both Intel and UNIX server hardware and Windows/UNIX operating systems.

Experienced in installing, configuring, and maintaining Window/UNIX system Performance and Capacity tools.

Basic troubleshooting skills, and must understand local/wide area networking and PC hardware/software.

Experience utilizing technical knowledge to consult and participate on technical solutions and project management activities.

Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Associates Degree or equivalent work experience and/or Certifications
