Job Description


Responsibilities: Work with senior algorithm developers and system engineering to analyze, implement, and test missile Automatic Target Recognition (ATR) algorithms for target detection, classification, and identification using varied sensor types. Take algorithms from conceptualization to real-time software in an embedded environment. Implementation and test environments include stand-alone MATLAB simulations, full-scale Integrated Flight Simulations, and embedded systems. Tasks also may include working with other subsystems to define and implement interfaces, and post-test data analysis. Applies extensive technical expertise and has full knowledge of other related disciplines. Develops technical solution to complex problems that require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity. Work is performed without appreciable direction. Guides the successful completion of major programs and may function in a project leadership role. Represents the organization as the prime technical contact on contracts and projects. Completed work is reviewed from a relatively long-term perspective.

Positions at U.S. locations may require citizenship for purposes of obtaining clearances. Additional clearances may also be required from the DoD.



The ideal candidate will possess


Required Skills:
Working knowledge of one or more of the following: MATLAB, C/C++ programming, MathCad. Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance. At a minimum, an Interim Secret clearance will be required in order to start the position.


Desired Skills:
Signal or Image Processing background. Experience in embedded programming. Experience with ATR or discrimination algorithms.
