Job Description
Responsibilities: The Internal Distribution Manager will provide leadership and manage the SAS SCM internal distribution activities for Logistics. The successful candidate will assume overall management responsibility for Transportation, Fleet Services, Mail Services, Shipping, Packaging Engineering and Fullerton Logistics Operations. Working in conjunction with the External Distribution Manager and the Strategic Logistics Performance Manager, this candidate will develop and deploy an Internal Distribution Optimization Strategy for the above distribution functions. This candidate will support the development and execution of the organization’s strategies and objectives; make all final decisions on administrative and operational issues affecting the organization’s performance; develop and establish organizational policies relative to staffing; optimize business processes using R6S tools; monitor budgets and pursue cost reduction efforts which support the goals and objectives of the organization and Company. This candidate will plan, direct and control all elements of the organization, as well as, be responsible for the organization’s results and effectiveness; and provide training, coaching, mentoring and career development guidance to the workforce, while fostering an environment for maintaining positive customer relationships.

The ideal candidate will possess
Required Skills:
The ideal candidate will possess the following: Experience managing a large, diverse organization; Masters Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations or related field; Experience in mapping, defining, and developing complex business processes; Proficient us of Microsoft Project and Office applications; Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast paced environment; Knowledge of internal distribution methods and Logistics processes; Strong people, customer and communication skills are essential.
Desired Skills:
Experience leading large, complex projects is highly desired.
