Job Description


Responsibilities: Establish and implement the Program(s) Parts Control Plan in accordance with contract requirements. Participate in the Parts, Materials & Processes Control Board (PMPCB) with parts approval authority on RFAs (Requests for Approval) to the APMPL (Approved Program Materials and Parts List). Support the Engineering Design process to ensure that parts selected are acceptable, qualifiable, and approved parts. Support SCM with parts technical interface with vendors and Strategy Council. Support Change Review Board; ensure that all parts-related changes are in accordance with the Parts Control Plan. Provide parts status and technical assistance, participate in meetings, provide cost and technical inputs as required by IPTs. Coordinate all Component Engineering Department working activities and report status to Program Management. Develop proposals and coordinate bids submitted to programs. Responsible for overall cost and schedule management of tasks. Interface with Suppliers, Program management, Design Engineering, and Component Engineering personnel. Prepare and deliver effective presentations to all levels of customers.

The ideal candidate will possess


Required Skills:
Working knowledge of components, hybrids, MCM's, PEM's, assembly processing, MIL specs (MIL-STD-883, MIL-PRF-38535, MIL-PRF-38534), project and parts management. Familiar with parts, suppliers and parts obsolescence. Computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, databases, presentation ).


Desired Skills:
Ability to work in a team environment and to handle multiple concurrent projects.
