Job Description


Responsibilities: The Chief Engineer for the national Systems MSS-CMM programs will be responsible for system architecture,design and program planning and execution. The selected candidate will lead the CMM Technology Design Development activities and serve as the technical advocate to the Customer in support of Mission Operational needs and systems requirements. This person must have cradle-to-grave system engineering experience, be fluent in CAM/EVMS processes, a proven track record for on time and on schedule deliveries, familiarity with J2EE and DoDAF technologies and demonstrated performance with Customers, SETAs associate contracts and subcontractors.

The ideal candidate will possess


Required Skills:
As the Chief Engineer, this position will be responsible for technical integrity and requirements satisfaction of all technical efforts. Specifically: Lead the definition, design and development of the architecture Requirements analysis consistent with architecture Ensure the system design meets technical requirements lead the overall system concept definition and external I/F Define and drive the technical business processes Chair the Engineering Review Board Support new business pursuits driving the evolution of next generation architectures Ensure full requirement verification This position requires strong technical leadership skills in addition to system engineering/analytical/problem solving skills in a team environment.


Desired Skills:
Familiarity with structured analysis and design methodologies, OOAD methodologies. Agile development a plus. Previous experience with complex satellite ground systems. Familiarity with organizations operating at SEI-CMM Level 3.
