Job Description


Responsibilities: Will either lead or be a key member on vehicle airframe development team. Responsible for leading and directing composites / advanced materials design engineering teams. Manage composites / materials selection trade studies, support proposal activities, and coordinate composite design activities with structural mechanics, thermal, supply chain, and materials/processes. Help establish improved composites design infrastructure by establishing proper mentoring and training for less experienced engineers. Will be a major contributor to the technical capabilities and direction of new company business.

The ideal candidate will possess


Required Skills:
Must have demonstrated expertise in applying advanced composites technology to aircraft / airframe designs within extreme structural and temperature environments. Must have minimum of 12 years experience with composite materials use in high speed or long endurance aircraft. Must have proposal development experience and have established recognition within composites manufacturing and customer communities. Knowledge of Earned Value Management System is required.


Desired Skills:
Ability to work long hours on occasion. Excellent written and oral communications skills strongly desired. Top Secret Clearance with SSBI is desired. Experience in design and/or analysis of Radar Absorbing Structures a plus.
