Job Description
Responsibilities: Algorithm Developers are responsible for specific algorithms created or modified to provide required performance and functionality. Responsibilities include: innovative creation of realizable new algorithms, consideration of design constraints and concurrent functions, thread development culminating in the documentation of software requirements in specifications. Provides ongoing support to developers to ensure satisfactory implementation and testing, customer briefings including design and performance analysis, validation of tactical implementation, and flight test performance investigation and reporting. Complete understanding and wide application of technical theories, and concepts in the field. Provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Will work under only general direction.

The ideal candidate will possess
Required Skills:
C, UNIX, Linux, MATLAB, and IDL. General knowledge in infrared, signal processing, detection and estimation theory. Familiar with infrared detectors/ software and sensor performance, related functional threads, and algorithm performance modeling. Able to investigate and analyze performance using both analytic and computer-aided approaches. Able to produce technical documentation including customer briefings, memorandums, and specifications. Able to support the implementation of algorithm into Infrared via technical interchanges with hardware and software developers.
Desired Skills:
Good skills working with classical algorithm solutions Kalman Filtering, Bayesian and Dempster–Shafer Classifiers, Wavelets and Huffman video data compression, and radiometry energy. At a minimum, an Interim Secret clearance will be required prior to starting work.
